So what is it like speaking at the record breaking show that was CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023

Honestly it was pretty terrifying but what an honor! I have spoken many times at many events but not on this scale, it was such a fantastic experience! I walked away buzzing and honestly really proud of myself.

My first talk ‘Onwards and Upwards – How Construction Can Change a Life: An Overview of women in the industry’ was at the International trade center and it was me on my own, slightly different to my usual talks as it wasn’t a captive audience people were there to meet and eat and chill and well I was probably annoying most of them but I got through it and I think it went well😁

My second talk was part of a panel in a massive room ‘ Ask the Influencers – Panel Discussion and Meetup with the Most Popular Construction Minds’ this was a huge one!! People paid and won competitions to attend and imposter syndrome was kicking me hard, I was up on stage with the most amazing people from all around the world, business owners, content creators working for family businesses, working mothers, I wasn’t sure how I would fit in but it just seemed to work. We all had valid unique experiences and perspectives and honestly it just went amazing better than I could imagine, I left afterwards on top of the world it was seriously one of the best things I have ever had the pleasure of being part of ❤️
